Overview
This International Trade Compliance and Export Controls course seeks to deepen delegates’ understanding of international trade regulations and the importance of adhering to legal requirements when exporting goods. The course covers customs procedures, sanctions, export control laws, and lawful and ethical global commerce. In a nutshell, this International Trade Compliance and Export Controls course explores the importance of export compliance, elements of effective export compliance, competitive advantages for markets, consequences of non-compliance, export controls, customs management, awareness of products and specifications, and numerous other aspects of international trade compliance and export controls.
International Trade Compliance refers to processes and procedures guiding the exportation of goods from one country and their importation into another, within perimeters of the law, rules, regulations and requirements of countries involved. Notably, regulations and other requirements differ from country to country, and from one type of goods to another. As such, exporters and importers ought to adhere to standards and requirements be they legal, economic, ethical, quality, supplier and consumer protection in each country.
At the end of the course, delegates should be able to:
